After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in music from the University of Houston in 1995, Ray moved to Dallas to pursue his graduate studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Church Music Degree as well as the Master of Divinity in Biblical Language.  While he was attending the seminary, he served as a youth and worship pastor at Hope Baptist Church. After serving Hope Baptist church for six years, he was recruited by the Korean Central UMC of Dallas where he served as the worship and youth pastor for four years. He has been serving as the lead pastor of Journey of Faith Church, the English language church of KCUMC since January of 2006.  Outside of his church, Ray is a board and Executive Team member of  JAMA and also a member of Mission Dallas. Ray is passionate about sharing Jesus Christ with people, training worship leaders, and mentoring young EM pastors.
